Abortion- My Views- Initial

I think my views can be summarized in a few things I've been saying in the past several days.

1) Anti-choicers are misogynists, no ifs, ands, buts, or discussion.
Why?

Simple really. If they cared about "life" they would be for forced organ, marrow, and blood donation. Well especially pro forced blood donation.
Why? Well each time you donate blood you can save 3 lives. EACH TIME. And you can do it every 6 weeks or so depending on how much you donate, what kind of blood you have, if it's plasma or blood, etc.We are talking about 26 lives PER YEAR for the average healthy adult. Compared to pregnancy blood donation is
A) Less invasive
B) Less expensive
C) Has less of a  toll/recovery time
D) Hurts far less
E) Is less traumatic both physically and emotionally
F) Requires minimum workplace accommodations
G) -Also- may require, or be strongly advised, that you dramatically alter your lifestyle especially regarding "high risk" behaviors.
But most importantly
H) Also would affect men.

So naturally, even though it "saves lives" at very little real expense, and is thus the DEFINITION of "Pro-Life" they NEVER argue for it.
Because it affects men.

They also are not for "sexual purity", as many anti-choice Christians claim to be. Why? They don't ever whine about paying for men's Viagra, meanwhile if a woman wants her insurance, that she pays for, pay for medication that she needs which prevents pregnancy, it suddenly becomes an issue. Because it affects women and not men, directly.

2) What kind of speech do YOU hear from anti-choicers?
I hear quite a bit of "Keep your legs closed you filthy whore" "If you have sex you consent to pregnancy!" "Don't spread your legs unless you're gunna have a baby!" nonsense. Basically a lot of slut shaming against women, that never even acknowledges that it takes two to tango. If a woman gets pregnant it's ALL her fault. But no, they don't forget men, they also have a lot of "What about the father? Shouldn't he have a say?"
"It's not fair to men that women can kill their babies but they have to pay child support if they run off!" "Women should have to get consent from the man in order to have an abortion!" Which all ignores that pregnancy happens inside a woman and never inside the other party.

3) Take a look at a great deal of their artwork. Most of it highlights the fetus, often making it seem much more developed than it actually is or claiming it to be younger than it is, while ignoring the woman completely.
Look at their more graphic works, you will see most are given a bogus story, and most don't go into WHY the woman had an "abortion" to begin with.
Look at their graphics, they portray women who abort as carelesseasily controlled, or just a prop for the fetus. In many graphics they only include a zoom out of the uterus and no depiction of the woman whatsoever. Why? Because they just don't care about women, at all. Or if they do, they just don't like us.

Oh I'm sure I could come up with countless examples, however I'll just leave more to blog about later depending on what I run into.

About the Author

Right now I am 19 years old. I am strongly pro-choice and would only ever consider having an abortion. I might get into this in more details in a later entry.
I also am LGBT, more specifically I am a demisexual, pansexual, androgynous, lesbian. I may need to also make a complete entry on sexuality, but basically what this means is that I am only romantically attracted to close friends/personality (also to me it's primary attraction rather than my primary attraction being something physical like hair color, skin color, gender expression, or genitalia), that I am CAPABLE of being attracted to anyone regardless of previously mentioned physical elements, and that I am physically attracted to women (but since it is a secondary attraction I am capable of being attracted to non women even though I am not attracted to non-women as a typical rule), it also means that despite having a female sex, I do not strongly identify as a gender. I do have spurts of genderism for myself but they aren't strongly enough to care about pronouns. I accept female pronouns because I really don't care and it's far easier to live as society expects than to change it for something that isn't that meaningful to myself.

I grew up in or near poverty and I know better about those "welfare queens" than the right wing wants me to as a result.
I also am in a long distance relationship with another aspie. We have been together for 5 years now
Many consider me to be "shy" in real life, but online I try to be a fierce advocate for progressive ideals, things that will affect me, and children's rights.

Many people either love me or hate me, and usually I don't care which you choose.
